​ I have over 20 years in combined education, training and work experience.



     I have a degree in Criminal Justice / Police Science.  I have spent over 8 years working in retail with relation to safety and loss prevention as both a store associate and a manager.  I attended a state certified corrections academy.  The main focus was on care, control and safetey of inmates and visitors.  Other topics covered were investigations and report writing.  Additional training was received in personal defense as well as law enforcement firearms instruction.  This training was put to use in a one thousand plus inmate County Jail.  I was also trained and worked as a state certified security Corporal in a retail mall setting. This entailed safety, security and patrol of interior and exterior physical grounds and the security of employees and the shopping patrons.  This also included enforcing the rules and regulations of the establishment and uniformed loss prevention and public assistance.

    Most recently I was employed as a Federal Officer with The Department of Homeland Security.  I received extensive training in physical searches of people and their property.  Also, one of the key areas was controlled access points into several sterile areas of two International Airports.  A large portion of training was in the use of x-ray equipment, magnetometers, state of the art millimeter-wave body scanners and trace explosive residue detection.  I was also trained in document verification as well as crowd control and observation.
